On 30 September in Christchurch, New Zealand, PSC Senior Managers, Ray Young and Justin Webster, joined the Aruhiko Power Engineering Excellence Trust (PEET) Scholars Awards at the University of Canterbury.
The event featured the presentation of the 2025 PSC Scholarships to Una Drayton (Year 3) and Ben Simons (Year 4), celebrating students already contributing to New Zealand’s power sector, and was held at UC’s John Britten building.

Una and Ben have both been involved with teams at PSC, through their engagement in the yearly summer programmes. During their project work, they exhibited a sense of curiosity, demonstrated their capability, and consistently showed a skill for accomplishing tasks effectively. PSC, alongside many other generous sponsors, support PEET and the EPECentre to connect talented students with real-world power systems challenges and the networks that sustain our industry to keep the lights on. At PSC, we are committed to nurturing and advancing the next generation of electrical engineers. This opportunity to support PEET and EPECentre initiatives is something we take very seriously.
Congratulations, Una and Ben—we’re very proud to be part of your journey and excited to see where you take your careers.
Let’s keep investing in the future. If you’re passionate about supporting the next generation of power engineers or want to learn more about how PSC partners with initiatives like PEET, get in touch—we’d love to connect.
