Industry Collaboration
Our vision is to transform the energy industry to power a sustainable world, a bold statement and one we can’t honor alone. That’s why we work with partners across academia and industry to deliver thought leading research, innovation and novel client solutions. Here are some of the collaborations we have in place. We’re always happy to explore new opportunities so contact us to chat.

Academic Collaboration
PSC is proud to collaborate with Monash University Energy Institute’s Grid Innovation Hub (GIH), a collaborative research vehicle bringing together industry, government and world-leading researchers to tackle some of the most important opportunities of our time through research and inspiring education.
Australia’s energy sector has embarked on a dramatic transformation, driven by new technologies and increasingly empowered consumers. New energy infrastructure, new market designs and dynamic regulatory environments are required for the rapidly approaching low-carbon world.
Cutting-edge data science and grid engineering for next-generation energy technology combined with world-leading market and regulatory design, gives Grid Innovation Hub its true interdisciplinary approach to the creation of new opportunities for Australia to lead the world in energy.
The role of energy storage is a critical part of transitioning to renewable energy sources. Research conducted at GIH will enable us to develop new market designs while taking energy storage into account. Designing market systems is one of PSC’s main areas of expertise and we are delighted about working with Monash to champion innovation in this space. GIH is a great example of industry collaborating with researchers, while also bringing together other key stakeholders such as the Australian Energy Market Operator (AEMO) and the Australian Energy Market Commission (AEMC).
The Hub’s current projects include research to investigate the best ways to integrate energy storage into Australia’s national energy market. The project is supported by the Australian Renewable Energy Agency along with AEMC and AEMO.
GIH was created to help solve critical issues facing Australia’s energy grid today, and to help develop a fit-for-purpose grid for decades to come. It combines the best of industry’s deep knowledge of the challenges facing us, with Monash’s deep expertise in power grid research. The projects GIH has sponsored are at the heart of Australia’s energy transition challenge. They offer strategic benefits to industry, policy makers, the Australian economy, and energy consumers nationally and internationally.
