- Eliminate hazards and reduce OH&S risks as far as reasonably practicable.
- Fulfill applicable legal and other requirements, including regulatory obligations, codes of practice and internal standards.
- Provide a framework for setting and reviewing occupational health and safety objectives.
- Continual improvement of the OH&S management system and health and safety performance.
- Consultation with and participation of workers and, where applicable, workers' representatives.
